  • Animal Crossing: Wild World is a simulation video game for the Nintendo DS handheld gaming console. In this game, you will play as a new citizen in a far away town and your goal is to make the town prosperous and pay off your house loan that was forcefully given to you. Interact with the neighbors to make them happy and friendly to you.

Animal Crossing: Wild World is one of the fastest-growing games for the DS on the market. Whilst you can never 'win' this game, there are some aims achievable throughout the game- one of the hardest would be paying off all of your house mortgages to Tom Nook. For this, you need bells (the currency of this game) - and lots of them.

It was snowing in town tonight, and Mathilda commented on how beautiful the snow was.

And in an apparent attempt to compliment herself, she compared the beauty of the snow to her own skin. 😛

Crazy Redd was in town today, but he didn't have anything that I wanted or needed.

Patty's replacement has moved into town, and it's Bunnie the bunny.

She didn't recognize me, and that may be a good thing. I have some vague memories of perhaps being slightly mean to her somewhere, somehow…in another life perhaps. 😛 But we can put that behind us and start fresh. 😛 She is definitely an improvement over Patty.

Benedict asked me to guess how close he was with Goldie, and I apparently got it wrong. I never know how to answer these things; I always seem to guess incorrectly. What is five nights at freddys about. Benedict just seemed so exasperated, and disappointed in me.

Since this is my last time playing before the month (and year) ends, I put all of my bells into my savings account to maximize my interest earnings. My balance is currently 633,929 bells…as I inch closer and closer to making my final million bell donation to Boondox.

Have a happy and safe New Year's Eve, everyone! 🎉🎉🎉

Nookingtons (たぬきちデーパトTanukichi Depāto?, Tanukichi Department Store) is the largest expansion to Tom Nook's shop. In this expansion, a new upper floor appears, where furniture, wallpaper, and flooring are sold by Timmy and Tommy. Tom Nook works on the ground floor, which sells flowers, saplings, medicine, and stationery. In Animal Crossing: Wild World, the store also contains Shampoodle, which provides hairstyle makeovers for players at the cost of 3,000 Bells.

To get Tom Nook to expand his store into Nookington's in Animal Crossing and Animal Crossing: Wild World, the player must spend and/or sell 240,000 Bells and have a friend shop at the store. In Animal Crossing: City Folk, the player only needs to spend/sell 150,000 Bells, and another player shopping at Nookway is not required for the upgrade.

In Animal Crossing: Wild World, the requirement for a friend to purchase something in the player's Nookway may create problems for those who do not have a real-life friend with a copy of Wild World and a their own DS, or for those who do not have functional or compatible Internet to use the DS's built-in Wi-Fi or the Nintendo DS Wi-Fi USB Connector, leaving them unable to upgrade their store. In this case, there is no other way to upgrade to Nookington's. However, some Wild World cartridges have been known to glitch and upgrade from Nookway to Nookington's whether a visitor shopped there or not.

As of May 20, 2014, Nintendo has discontinued the Nintendo Wi-Fi service[1], which means that it is no longer possible to upgrade to Nookington's in Wild World through inviting friends over the Internet. However, local wireless still functions, meaning that having a friend with a system and a copy of Wild World would allow the upgrade to occur.

In the Wii U Virtual Console version of Wild World, the requirement for a friend to visit was dropped due to the lack of online or local multiplayer compatibility.
